Focal Mu-so Hekla

The Focal Mu-so Hekla elevates immersive movie experience. Simply by connecting it through HDMI with you TV/Projector. The ADAPT (Adaptive Acoustic Personal Tuning) calibrates the sound to you hearing and room configuration to provide deep bass with clear dialogue.

The Hekla, named after the Iceland’s volcano, explodes with 660W of Naim amplification, with dedicated amps for the separate transducers. It is the evolution of the Mu-so 2, which was completely redesigned. The Hekla adds a 3rd woofer and 8x additional speakers to enhance spatialisation.  It now incorporates the Focal sound with Naim electronic expertise which developed their own DSP circuits and software.

The 3x woofers for LFE reaches down to 27Hz. It is however possible to extend the bass by adding external subs through the RCA outputs.

It provides Dolby Atmos and also a custom designed Sphere mode using Beamforming and Crosstalk cancellation technologies.

The Focal Mu-so Hekla also enables you to experience spatial music, which many streaming services now provide.

Volume control is done using the existing remote from your TV/Projector or streaming device(E.g. Apple TV connected using the HDMI with CEC. You can also control it through the Naim mobile app, which is also used for configuration.

Naim, well know for its exceptional amps, DAC’s and other Hi-Fi electronics was acquired by Focal in 2011 and is used in their active speakers (See also Diva Alta)
