Refunds
Please ensure that the product that you purchase caters for your requirements by talking to our sales representative if you are unsure of the specifications or availability.
There will be no refunds made with the exception of a product that may for some or other reason no longer be available from the manufacturer or if the estimated time for delivery is more than 30 days from placing the order due to factors out of our control (E.g. delays at manufacturer or courier)
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed by making an EFT to the bank details provided by you through email and the account must be in the same name of the purchaser.
Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Provide 3 working days after receiving confirmation that a refund has been made.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us.
Exchanges
We will only replace items if they are defective and is eligible for a warranty claim. If you need to exchange it for the same item (different colour) or a different item a surcharge may be levied and will still need to be evaluated and will depend on available stock and demand. A handling fee will be calculated at 10% of the returned item value + courier charges if approved.
Warranty
Our simple mission is to supply quality products possible that do not provide issues. Most products carry a warranty for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase. This may vary dependant on products, so pls. check with our sales representative if and how long the specific product is covered for. For most products, if it fails due to defects in craftsmanship or materials, within the warranty period, we will repair or replace the product free of charge. Be aware that this warranty is limited to the original purchaser only. Please see our return policy for more information.
Important note
Damage due to wear and tear, lighting or power surges, misuse or neglect is not covered under our warranty.
Shipping returns
How to return an item:
To be eligible for a return, your item must be an the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
To process your return we need the following information to be send to info@smartbuilds.co.za:
- receipt or proof of purchase
- reason why a return is required
- other product item you would like to upgrade to
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
Use a sturdy box, that is marked as returning goods and courier it to our physical address provided in our Contact us page. Otherwise you are welcome to make an appointment and bring it to our offices.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you are close to our offices we may offer to come and collect it.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
Sale items
Only regular priced items may be returned. Sale items cannot be refunded or exchanged.
Exemptions:
Please note the following exemptions on our return policy:
- We cannot process shipments that are not returned according to our policy.
- Changed or damaged products can’t be taken back or exchanged.
