The H30A is Hegel’s reference power amplifier. With its 1,100 watts in 8 ohms (in mono), it is stable down to 1 ohms. This powerhouse of an amplifier can drive the most demanding speaker with confidence and ease.
It is designed as a monoblock amplifier, but can also serve as a stereo amp providing at least 300W per channel.
The H30A power supply uses 2x separate 1,000 VA toroidal transformers for fast response and minimizes transformer hum. A power bank of 270,000 μF capacitors ensures the H30A always has enough power in reserve. In the output stage uses 56 pieces 15A 200W high speed, ultra-low distortion bipolar transistors.
A pair of hand matched FET’s (Field-Effect Transistors) helps limit input stage distortion. These are carefully transistors that have the exact same values, and therefore they have no higher order harmonic distortion. The patented SoundEngine technology eliminates any other distortions at the output stage.
The chassis is made of aluminium which helps to reduce noise.
