S-Series Black Edition 7 driver Tower(Floor Standing) Passive speakers.
The S7t Black Edition speaker is the most advanced model in the Perlisten line up. The Perlisten speakers is designed to be a high fidelity speaker for stereo listening and movie watching.
It enhances the standard S7t and inherits the same sonic performance and characteristics as the Limited Edition but with some enhancements.
It features massive concave aluminium side panels that elevate its design while adding mass and extra cabinet volume. It includes high-performance isolation feet. The DPC-array is milled from a 40mm billet of aluminium. The cabinet also incorporates HDF (High Density Fiberboard).
The re-designed voice coil and magnetic circuit now enable 20% more linear excursion of the woofers and also decreases inductance, and improved low-frequency performance.This was achieved by utilizing a secondary shorting ring and re-designed voice coil windings. It also increases heatsink by coupling the secondary shorting ring to the external copper heatsink using a unique mounting system that also allows for convection cooling of the voice coil and heatsinks as the air flow created by the voice coil’s excursion quietly flows past.
The DPC array maintains the current drive units and pattern control while integrating all three transducers with a large aluminum heatsink. This increases power handling and reduces thermal compression of the individual units while maintaining the same temperature across all drive units. This ensures the complete DPC array tracks as a single unit, effectively avoiding thermal runaway of any one tweeter or any non-linear compression from one unit to the next.
The crossovers have been fine-tuned, and the overall design enhances power handling while significantly reducing thermal compression.
Perlisten has created its own isolation/damping system for the Black Edition increasing isolation, resisting lateral movement and oscillations. Coupled to the the massive 18 kg machined steel base keeps the speaker cabinet grounded.
Custom bass drivers made from thin-ply carbon diaphragms (TPCD). This technology is 30% lighter than standard carbon fiber of the same thickness, with increased strength from using the unique process of stacking multiple layers. The unique weave is unmistakable and distributes break-up modes without sharp response peaks, while extending bandwidth.
The enclosure can be configured as bass reflex(ported down-firing) or acoustic suspension(sealed) and adjusted for listener preference for more or tighter bass.
The s7t features the proprietary DPC-Array controlling Mid/High frequencies, centred by a 28mm Beryllium dome and dual 28mm TPCD ultra-lightweight domes. All S-Series speakers share the same DPC-Array and benefit from our unique timbre matching technique across the entire series.
The Perlisten S-Series speakers also have the distinguished honor to be the world’s first and only loudspeakers to be certified for THX Dominus – their highest rating.
