Hegel V10 Phono Preamp

The V10 phonograph preamplifier was designed from the ground up using Hegel’s experience in amplification circuitry to provide a pre-amp to keep the purist sound from your vinyl record.

The V10 chassis is divided into two separate compartments to help minimise noise of the power supply to the sensitive amplification circuitry. A custom design low noise linear analogue AC-power supply together with a large E-core transformer helps to eliminate interference.

The phono stage is easy to setup, simply change the dip switch to choose MM or MC for the cartridge in use.

It is however highly configurable to cater for your.

For MM cartridges, you can increase the capacitance between 100 and 467 pF.

For MC cartridges, the impedance can be set freely between 33 and 550 ohms or fixed at 47 kohm.

On both MM and MC, the gain can be increased by 5, 10 or 12 dB, matching the output of your other sources.

The Hegel V10 also has a Subsonic Filter to remove unwanted low frequency noise.

4x ultra low noise JFET transistors are used for the input stage.

The terminals is gold-plated and provides a custom grounding screw, which should be used to reduce noise. Dedicated input terminals are used for the Moving Coil (MC) and Moving Magnet (MM) inputs. (Note that only one can be used at a time)
